The pain that is associated with Shin Splints, is a result of excessive amounts of force on your shin bones, as well as the tissues and muscles surrounding it.

I used to have really bad shin splints because I played a lot of sports, especially gymnastics, which is really hard on shins. I bought the Brooks Ghost 10, and they helped so much I have never bought any other running shoes. I also have the Ghost 11 and 12, and they work really really well.
